The Parham Gambit

I'm sure by now many of you have heard of the Parham Attack. A team of many players rated 2000+, including an IM, have still not been able to produce a line where white isn't destroying. Now we are proud to introduce the Parham Gambit:

and what happens if the gambit is declined?

.... bump for The Gavinator

but no if black declines and castles, it has a developmental and positional advantage.  White is behind in devolopment and its Queen is out too early.  White's knight will not be nearly as effective as black's knights. White will also have a tough time developing its queen pawn- black, not as much. I will  also add that if black accepts the Gambit but protects its knight AND the pawn you are trying to attack with Qe7 instead of bringing its knight back to Nc7, it will, once again, find itself in the advantageous position.  Good on ya for trying though! Keep thinking and keep playing! Not that you would be able to come up with a perfect line which the GMs somehow missed.

Shout out to my Christian friends out there!  As someone has said,  "everyone makes mistakes, that's why there's Jesus".

I believe there is a group for this.

alexlaw, please post 1 line in the Parham (not the gambit, this is a work in progress), where black doesn't get crushed.

Nachtwulf, in your 2nd board, d3 instead of Na3 will protect the pawn better, and allow the deadly Bg5 pin.

nachutwulf, don't post any more lines. I'd prefer if you delete those, since mine is the most clear cut of refuting them.

Fair enough. Here's the main part of what you put, in board form. Gavyodog, take a look.

And for the record, I'll just block the dog/gav pair if I ever see a new Parham thread, thread hijacks included.

I think we should petition chess.com to sponsor a "Parham Day," or a "Parham tournament" or something.

This is terrific. Thanks for starting a new thread on this; it's been almost an hour since the last post on Parham and I was getting powerful thirsty.

At the start replying to the nonsense this kid is posting was kind of funny. Now it has become just annoying. Guys, please don't feed a dumb attentionholic.

Gavi, only an idiot would play 6...Nxc4 here (although even that gives Black a small advantage).

Obviously this is the only move you thought about.

Don't be a fool. Gavi is actually a 1800 player. The problem is the fact that he lost his first matches on chess.com because his little brother played and as we all know it's completely impossible to gain rating on this site.

This is why gavis moves are near expert and you should take them seriously.

pfren, I didn't come up with those moves, they were provided by alexlaw on the previous page.
