Top unexpected openings/variations

Not sorted in order. You might say the top unexpected opening would be something crappy like 1) a4 but the openings im putting here are ACCEPTABLE and PLAYABLE ones.

French Defense : Stenitz Attck ( Watch out French players ;) )

Only 52 games in the chess.com database

Some sort of tranposition into the Smith Morra Gambit or the Scheveningen from the French Defense.

Anti-Scandinavian

Only 52 games in the database for this too.

As a Scandinavian player, I find this VERY annoying.

Englund Gambit

96 games in the database for this.

Englund Gambit : Charlick Gambit (A gambit in a gambit!)

This is my main line against 1)d4 and I find it very playable :)

Only 4 games in the database. A record for this thread!

I will be adding more openings/variations too so check back soon!

Feel free to add your own too!

Analysis and critics are welcome!

Sicilian : Sac your Queen on Move Six and Win

I would call this the Sicilian Defense : Dana Mackenzie Gambit, but im not sure if it's his original idea. If you think it's stupid, it's completely playable if you follow the 3 rules of this opening. Full analysis on this thread.

Blackburne Shilling Gambit

I wouldnt reccomend this opening or say that it is that playable but if you want to play it for the Nxe5 trap then I would reccomend it, if you play at VERY low level.

For coming soon!
