Yes, but for the Ware Opening, Crab Variation, you would require you're opponent to blunder to at least equalize.
Incidentally, the Nimzo-Larsen Attack is "weird" and yet completely sound, although White can't expect to achieve an advantage in every single line.
Nimzo-Larsen Attack: Couldn't this opening just transpose to other openings...it seems very flexible.
