What are strong anti catalan openings?

I was just looking for some help on strong play against someone who is likely to play the catalan.

Thanks!

As a Catalan player myself, I recommend the Slav. (1. d4 d5 2. c4 c6)

This discourages the early kingside fianchetto that Catalan players are normally comfortable with.

Aside from the Slav, you can always transpose the game into a Dutch Stonewall as well

is the chigorin defence a reasonable choice cause in almost all lines it completely avoids the catalan but if you dont like it i would agree with blackwaive

I think  Chigorin is reasonable, along with QGA or Dutch Stonewall

Thanks everyone. I was already kind of a fan of stonewall positions, so I like what you were showing me, opticnerve.

I'll also definitely look at the slav, since it seems safe.

And at this point, I don't think that I'm skilled enough to play something risky like the chigorin.

the chigorin is not exactly risky if you know some lines
