The Jerome gives legit attacking chances. If black has no clue how to defend he will lose.

It's kinda like the halloween

Definitely the Botez Gambit.

The thing with the Englund gambit is that once you know it and don't play Blacks game, the Black position falls apart very quickly. Black relies on total surprise and ignorance that is not a good strategy.

Botez gambit for the win...er, loss.  Lol

danish!!!!!!!!!!!!!

No way! I score a lot with Danish Gambit. There are beautiful victories of Lasker, Bird, Alekhine, Charousek playing the Danish G. My favourite was one played by Blackburn

If you play the Botez Gambit, Mr. Shaibel says “you resign now.”
TheOtherCreep

englund gambit trap

resign now white.

Froms gambit: bird opening

TheOtherCreep

froms gambit is pretty trash because its barely even used. when its brd opening time go play froms gambit it can give you fools mate

TheOtherCreep

danish gambit is very good if you want quick development

you gambit 2 pawns but you can gambit 3 pawns for quick development. You have the advantage because your opennet doesn't have any of their minor pieces out.

I've played a few of these gambits. They're not nearly as bad as their reputation.

From's Gambit is solid. What you posted just isn't the correct way to play it.

Also, as others have said, Englund is playable. The key for white is to not play black's game. Just let them have the pawn back on e5 while you quietly develop. You'll get a better game out of the opening.

Halloween Gambit and Danish Gambit are also pretty good, even up to master level. Not good enough for GMs, but still not terrible.

I've never seen this Jerome or Botez Gambit stuff. I don't play as many wild gambits as I used to, so I don't follow newer trends on them.

I'm a little surprised nobody has mentioned the Blackmar-Diemer Gambit or Alapin Gambit in this thread. I'd rate them both better than the Englund, but not as good as the From, Halloween, or Danish. But they're popular targets of ridicule, which is why I'd have expected to see them mentioned.

From's Gambit can be realy good but bird is almost never played. Bird opening is trash  because its easy to get mated and greedy people can take the queen in the From's Gambit and get mated.  Botez Gambit is technically a queen blunder. Botez gambit is some sort of joke that comes out of alexender Botez (i don know the name) when ever she blunders her queen. Blackmar Diemer Gambit is trash if you dont know how to play it. IF you dont play that exact move then you are just doing it for no reason. congrats! You lost a pawn yet you dont know how to use Blackmar Diemer Gambit. If you ever looked at Eric Rosen's video, stafford and alapin can be similar. Englund Gambit can cause your queen (if you accepted it) to just be gone because of your greedy moves. You took 2 pawns and a horse and you lost your queen.

it goes like this

Englund can be aggressive  if your opponent declines the gambit by moving the pawn forward. I played the gambit for the 1st time and won by resignation because it was forced mate.

Danish Gambit is supposed to sacrifice 2 - 3 pawns for a quick development while your opponent  doesnt have any developed pieces.

It’s no coincidence that beginners tend to love the flashy gambits as well as when youtubers play gambits they always play weak players to compensate
