What is the worst gambit?

the englund is a risky gambit, i like to play it against lower rated players
To be honest, I just didn’t want to play into a London System or a lot of theory, then next thing you know I was scoring 75% with it at the 1200-1500 level. I was only scoring 55% with the semi-Slav.
I put more emphasis on tactics and blunders on winning games then the opening.
I played the Englund before it became popular so now I have switched to sidelines or Grunfeld in must win situations.

Latvian Gambit; you can accept the gambit in any way possible, and it's still refuted. Even if you don't accept it, it's still refuted.

Not just the kings gambit, i think that one is at least reputable, but the Kings gambit: Villemson gambit:
Like come on now.
On the flipside, the coolest gambit I think there is (though it doesn't have its own name, it is a sacrifice of material in the opening book, so I'll call it a gambit) is this knight sacrifice in a sideline of the Bg5 Najdorf:
The engine doesn't even know how to evaluate the position. With absolutely perfect play from Black, he ends up practically dead equal, and that's AFTER White sacrifices more material.

and yet my record in king's gambit WAS something like 53%, but these past couple days i've scored really bad and am just 49:46 now. i suspect sandbagging and/or foul play as some days, i tear thorough 80% or more of my opponents and then other the exact opposite.
that, or maybe my brain damage flares up some days
in the real world (under 2000), king's gambit scores 52:45 in 9.8 million games. don't listen to GM parrots. +7% is a number 48:48 & 33:33:33 "grandmaster approved lines" WISH they had at move #2!
The Cochrane Gambit and Jerome Gambit are the worst gambits because it involves sacrificing a piece and black will be able to defend easily against those gambits.

I mean, the Cochrane is better than the Halloween Gambit for sure, I think it's at least playable for White if you know the ideas. Halloween might be too, but yeah the Jerome is just a piece gone from the board.

The Smith mora gambit is the worst gambit
You've got to be trolling, that's up there with the best.

Yeah, it's one of the few gambits without a clear refutation, there are ways to play against it that usually give Black a small advantage, but not anything outrageous like most gambits. This guy doesn't know what he's talking about.
