What is your least favorite opening?

my least favorite opening (excluding those oddball openings of course) has to be the sicillian, while I can play against it, I hate the positions that arise from it... Which is why I play Nc3 as white and go with the flow from there :)

Why pay for a course when you can watch free videos on YouTube

It works I promise. I can't purchase any courses and this is the only one that is free. It takes you to a screen that looks like this.

Please help me, it would mean a lot

I did happy.png sorry that I thought that your link was suspicious lol

I can confirm for everyone that it's all safe ^^

Maybe it's not as tactical as most King's Knight openings but there are a lot of lines where in you can bait your opponent to hanging himself from either side

If someone plays kings gambit on me I will play d5. Falkbeer counter-Gambit.

And when the French is played I will do the exchange.

Most club players don't know the only good response which is 3.d3 although dull, since I don't like 3. exf4 because black still has lots of attacking chances

Me neither!

I probably play more exchange lines than anybody.

Exchange KID

In the Pirc, Austrian Attack, if 5...c5, theN 6.dxc5 Qa5 7.Qd4 and Black ends up having you play ...dxc5 at some point.

As Black, I laugh at those that play the Exchange Variation against my French and constant grind them down to wins (over the board that is, blitz here is sh*t, you can play 1.h4 or 1...h5 and win in blitz).

Since I had a pro casually mention I must learn all the variations and traps, I've casually dismiss my hopes of becoming a Grand Master.

The London System. So boring Zzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzz

I also hate the French defense and the Caro-Kann, so I always play the exchange variation whenever anyone uses these openings on me because if you’re going to play an opening I hate then I’m going to play a variation you hate

yeah, one game out of 10 000. of course you can play every opening excitedly, but generally a QGD is much much less exciting than a KID defense. just my opinion, of course. some people might enjoy positional struggles without any chance of checkmate

I don't hate the Caro-Kann, therefore I don't  play the exchange there... but I completely agree about the French - always exchange grin.png

I love it when clowns play the Exchange against me!  All I do is win!

A 1900ish girl in the final round of the 2018 Carolinas Classic played it and offered a draw maybe 15 moves later and I decline by voluntarily taking an IQP at the right time and win.

2017 Louisiana State Championship I face it round one and blow away the donkey that thinks he can get me out of my comfort zone.  He was seriously mistaking and lost miserably.

In 2014 a 2150 rated donkey plays it via transposition from the 3.Nxe5 Petroff with 5.d3 instead of 5.d4 and then 6.d4 d5.  He got waxed.

So all you donkeys that think the exchange variation will piss of French fanatics, you are sorely mistaking!  I say thank you for making my life easier and not making me defend against the Steinitz Variation!

testaaaaa

since the steinitz variation is the unsoundest variation of the french sure

The idea is not  that the exchange variation  leads to an advantage for black, but instead that it will bore the opponent into submission.

I strongly dislike playing the Alekhine defense. I never get the position I need, and White always gets the initiative
