What to do for openings as a beginner?

So everywhere seems to recommend to ignore openings as a beginner and instead just play and focus on tactics and endgames. While I understand the recommendation I am wondering if anyone can point me to a good source of openings for beginners that can give a good intro and explanation on what to do and what to focus on during this stage of the game.

I feel pretty confident doing tactics puzzles but during the opening phase of the game I just always feel so lost. Thank you guys for any help or suggestions. https://100001.onl/

Learn the vienna. It'll throw almost everyone off at the beginner level.

Learn the London system, you make the same moves no matter what the opponent plays. It gives you the urge to learn more. I learnt the scotch and Scandinavian as well.

A beginner only needs to know

Their first move when playing as white (Vienna and London are excellent choices)

Their response as black when white plays e4 (try something other than e5)

Their response as black when white plays d4

And the urgency of which they need to develop pieces and castle before any tactics start to appear.

You can get deeper, I think openings are fun, and you should remember traps you fall into, but mostly openings aren't going to result in large Elo gains until at least 1200. So just find something you find interesting and have fun!
