Which is the best defence against 1.d4?

BlunderLots

I generally play the QGD, QID, or the KID.

QGD is good for positional players who like to wrestle in semi-closed positions.

QID's fun if you like imbalances and a bit more of an open game.

KID's good if you want to punch your way through well-mapped theoretical waters.

Jengaias do you think you have proved a point by posting post # 55?

News Flash you haven't proved anything.

You want to know what you have done?

All you have done buddy is lowered our expectations of Garry Kasparov!

The chess.com community use to have Garry Kasparov on a high pedestal!

After showing us the above game he has fallen off that high pedestal!

He has been lowered!

It is completely obvious you are to retarded to understand the consequences of your actions!

You have sullied a World Champion in our eyes!

I am glad Vladimir kramnik beat him now!!!!

What a little Whimp!

Yeah, meager players too.

Although objectively bad for black, the Budapest is my favourite :)

The Budapest is fun (I'm currently studying the opening). It surprises a lot of people playing white and has tons of traps black can use.

I lowered YOUR expectations? Who do you think you represent and you use 1st plural? The club of "Clueless till we die".

Talk about yourself man.I don't think there is anyone that agrees with your delirious rambling.

As for Kasparov, I'm sure he is devastated for not meeting your expectations. So try to keep it secret...........shhhhhhhhhhh.

Jengaias why are you even commenting to me.

I have blocked you Sir.

Move along with your life!

All you have done is bring heart ache to this thread!

The OP hasn't even acknowledged you in this thread!!!!

We(The chess community and I) had high expectations for Garry Kasparov.

Because of you it has been lowered!

I hope you are happy with yourself Sir!

You have ruined an Idol!

It is all coming together now.

The chess community see it all!

It is obvious Garry Kasparov has been hiding his whimp nature all of these years until now!

We finally bring all the pieces of the puzzle together!

Garry Kasparov playing this little barbie doll line was a tip off that many of us didn't realize until now!

The cabbage patch springs a little barbie doll chess line!

What a sissy!

It all fits now!

People always wondered why Garry Kasparov retired early?

Because he is a whimp thats why!

We finally answered that question!

He only comes back every other 5 years to bully poor Nigel!

When Magnus was 13 years old Garry didn't mind playing him!

Beating up on a little kid!

But now that Magnus is a grown man playing MAN LINES.

He decided to run off!

What a little whimp!

X_PLAYER_J_X

Jengaias your game example proves nothing as usual!

It is obvious Magnus was in puberty during the time of that game!

It doesn't count!

semi slav meran.

Bunny_Slippers_

I love all of you! Just not equally... I think Jengalas and X_Player should hold a death match blitz-O-rama, first 3001 wins is  the champion! Garry will officiate!   Wink

Yeah right. Semionov.

dauber_wins

definitely c4.

SaintGermain32105

Yeah, after 1.Nf3 black plays 1...e5 and white resigns, since playing 2.d4 is now plain stupid. Oh, but wait, I have a cunning plan, the budapest gambit is an even better idea, after 1..Nf6 2.c4 e5!. QGD, Grunfeld, Bogo-Indian, Nimzo-Indian coming to mind as well. No problemo.

Play queen's indian defense

SaintGermain32105

1.Nf3 Nf6 2.c4 e6 3.g3 b6 4.Bg2 Bb7 5.Nc3 Be7 6.O-O O-O 7.Re1

I don't think so.

The best defense against 1 d4 is whatever works best for you .  This means you will need to experiment with several defenses against 1 d4 to determine which works best for you .  If you are a numbers/stats person then my databases indicate that the nimzo-indian has the best results against 1 d4 so it certainly is an option for most chess players .

I don't think so.

Someone says "play the Queen's Indian defense" and you say "I don't think so" giving a line that is not Queen's Indian defense.

Are you sure you take the right meds?

We can always call the police. Your insinuations are for people who want to go to prison. Shall we? It's called the Anglo-Indian.

SaintGermain32105

It's relevant with, you are sorry that you were wrong.

So how the Anglo Indian is relevant with the Queen's Indian? And why it's a reason not to play Queen's Indian? Is that a refutation or something?

Yeah, the Petroff is refuting to play a myriad of other lines as well, and I'm not playing it. I'm not playing the London either. lol

Speaking of refutations.
