Which variation of the Sicilian do you play?

Do you play the Open, Closed, or Alapin, or something else like the Smith Morra or the Wing Gambit? Personally, I play the Closed Sicilian Grand Prix.

None of them. Too much to know and memorize. And the middlegames are not for me.

As black I can tell you I see alot more anti-sicilians then I do "mainline" sicilians.

If you're about what i play with white - i dont play e4, my rating is ~1800 and i play Sicilian myself, if i play against it i will choose Alapin or Open (if you know theory)

I play Najdorf or Kan as black

As black? I play the Najdorf.

If I play 1.e4 and 1...c5 is the response, I play the Smith-Morra Gambit--Punching Bag Variation-- because that is what happens to black. (mostly)

BTW, I despise the Sissycilian, and on principle have never learned or played it.

As white, I am toying around with 1. e4 (I am mainly a 1. d4 /2. c4 player) and I'm playing the Open Sicilian. As black, mainly the Kan.
