Do you guys know how not to see someone's activity on chess.com? Im tired of this dude asking for debate and then saying everyone is wrong lol.

5.d4 is a move that surprisingly does not get any attention when it's one of the bigger issues black has to deal with.

I actually trust black's chances after d5!

BronsteinPawn

Wow @Pfren, have you played and refuted every chesss sideline that exists in correspondence chess??

Alterman likes the  Traxler.

I think the Traxler is just impractical regardless of it's theoretical standing. You basically do three times the work of your opponent and memorize all the theory or you lose horribly somehow. Meanwhile ...Na5 gives Black perfectly fine chances with half the work required. I think the Traxler is something you only play for kicks.

robertjames_perez

I have almost memorized the theory of Traxler!

Great, then you should be able to beat Komodo easily. Go play the Traxler against an engine and we'll find out who's confused.

The strategy of Traxler is  much more differnet from other openings. Why computer confusion happens? Because of their strategical inaccuracies(but sometimes more than just an inaccuracy, sometimes strategical blunders!!!!).

BronsteinPawn

Sorry amigo, but I dont think computers are confused about it. The Traxler is not famous at ICCF chess which already gives me a strong smell of fish.

BronsteinPawn

Why dont you simply play 3...Bc5 and use your time to study strategy or game collections? Im sure that would help you 10 times more than learning tricks.

All of the players that posted here aren't aggressors,or players that like sharp, risky, and complicated play.

These GMs are aggressors:

    Tal,Fischer,Kasparov,Judit Polgar,Carlsen,Botvinnik,Alekhine,Capablanca,Morphy,and Anderssen.

robertjames_perez

Bronstein  Pawn,I saw in the The Alterman Gambit Guide:Black Gambits 2 that black can achieve full compensation in any Bxf7 line if he plays accurately.

robertjames_perez

...in Chapter 3(Traxler)..

BronsteinPawn

Really? Can you show me how he can achieve full compensation?

BronsteinPawn

You should open an account on a serious correspondence chess server and try out the Traxler. If you win you will become famous, for breaking the stereotype that the Traxler sucks.

If  you are against Traxler, you aren't aggressive.Say what are your styles.
