The same can be said of any offbeat opening. You can do the exact same thing with the king's indian attack (as white) basically, make like 10 moves almost irregardless of what your opponent does, provided he doesn't attack something that isn't met by an obvious pawn move (e.g. locking the center), etc.
1… e4
1. e5 (or anything else except the wayward queen)
2. Ke2

1. Your king is developed and your opponents in bullet don’t know what to do and waste time
Strategy:
Whenever your opponent plays a pawn break, just lock the position.
Your opponent just go “Hmmmm how am I supposed to get to his king” and waste even more time
Eventually, your opponent loses too much time and blunders (works only in bullet and <1000 Elo
