How To Make An Online Chess Group Do Well

Hi,

I need help on how to make an online chess group do well. My group is Isolated Chess (www.chess.com/groups/view/isolated-chess) and currently has 54 members and was created in March. We have major problems with being active and doing well in Team Matches and Vote Chess Games. We have weekly puzzles, forum games, and active admins, but the group barely participates in anything. When they do join a Team Match or Vote Chess Game, we usually lose. How do I increase our winning score?

Thanks for all your help.

Recruite the best players for team matches in the open, this is the problem with Isolated Chess currently. The highest player is a 1600 in the bracket you set up for people to see the ratings but first, you need to recruit the best, prehaps 1700+, then it can go down from there.

stormrunner88 I try to, but they won't accept or join any. And I don't do Open or <1600 matches because it's always unfair on my side.

matches, vote chess and a lo of activity.

I do all that, and we are improving. Especially in BIG by commenting on the best moves.

I find it helpful to have a focused theme, like an opening or other concrete purpose for the group.
