ANYONE BEEN BLOCKED ON THIS SITE??

Yes, I've been blocked numerous times. Yet, I don't know why, for all but two that I can remember. Of those two that I know the "reason" for; one was because the person turned out to be some kind of professional blocker, the other just didn't like me

I've blocked - only once, but never BEEN blocked. Don't know what it's like on the other side hehe. Seriously though, the user turned out to be creepy.. NOT the way to go - I want to enjoy the use of this site without some faceless person loading their woes of the world on me. I don't mind having a yarn - just don't get creepy.

What's it like getting blocked anyway?? I mean, how much of an annoyance is it, really? Can the user who blocks - unblock?? Can you still get into forums that the blocker posts in??

The two that I mentioned earlier, I believe I thought it was funny when they blocked me. You can't really know whether you are blocked or not. I find out because I go to a thread and am unable to post a comment, so I know the OP has blocked me, and when I don't know the reason, then I'm indifferent.

i've been blocked twice and thought it was hilarious both times.  one person blocked me while i was posting in someone else's thread.  and, if i am not mistaken, the other one blocked me after one comment to him/her ever. 

you can still read people's threads but you can't post in them.  and yes, they can unblock you. 

edit - did i deserve it?  i think no on both accounts.  but some people have low thresholds on their block-o-meters. 

yep.  to be able to be that picky about friends.  if i blocked half the number of people he has then i would have no one to talk to but myself. 

I'd been away from home a bit so I've had to rely on this USB stick I have to have access to the internet. One of the problems I found with this USB stick is that 1. I'm back on 'dial-up' mode (which is slow) and 2. I faced a few glitches, as in, I'll post on some thread and hellooo - can't post. Huh, maybe the OP's blocked me (being Oinquarki and Ivandh - which would have been a right shame), but then I found I was also having trouble submitting a post on my OWN thread - can't block myself.. but then.. stranger things have happened ha. Anyway, I'm back home now and back to my trusted wireless broadband and also back to being able to post (Oinquarki and Ivandh's threads) which makes me a very happy person. Anywho, my suggestion is that maybe there could be a glitch in your computer system that restricts you from doing certain things like putting in the odd post, lasting for so long at a time. I'm no nerd - I'm more a baby in this world of computer technology so I'm merely suggesting, unless you've tried more than once or more than one thread from the same OP?? I've an idea - block me, so I know what it's actually like. Give me 24hrs, but don't forget to unblock me - I love reading threads..

I was blocked by "it?", for just being me

I wasn't blocked by Monster (and that's rare, I defended Stalemate, attempted to hijack his thread when he started to insult, defended stalemate again and finally got bothered of him). 

But I've recently been blocked by checkmateibeatu because I like 1.f3 as Whites' first move.
