Hi everybody, yesterday I was playing a game with [edited] how ranked some 100 points higher than me and after few minutes into the game he suddenly lost connection. As usual, the countdown did start and he was supposed to lose the game after the time would have elapsed as it did, only that I don't now why, instead of gaining my points the game was simply cancelled. I don't really mind too much about my ranking as I play for fun, but still I was a bit upset that I could have been cheated in some unfair way. Any of you knows whether it wold be possible to trick the system in a way that instead of losing the game you can cancel it at the end of disconnection time? just for the sake of knowing it I wouldn't never use it as it seems to me a useless and quite cheap way of playing chess thanks in advance
No. The only way a game gets cancelled is if the server goes down.
