Why 1500 specifically? Is that your goal? I can see the closest you’ve ever gotten is 1445 blitz rating peak. Getting to a particular rating level (including 1500) and then staying there is the same for all rating levels. It’s a grinding process of learning, practicing, gaining experience, and then repeating over and over again.

What changes is the specifics of what each rating level takes. I still remember how excited I was crossing 1500 for the first time. At this level, I’d stay that 1500 has a pretty good foundation for all stages of the game and especially basic theoretical endgames. 1500s should easily be able to convert with an extra pawn in most winning positions if it’s down to a pawn endgame and maybe even a piece endgame with an extra pawn or two.

1500s may also be starting to form their own ideas of their favorite openings and playstyles around this level. Unknown to them is how much positional insight the next several hundred rating points above will require and then their playstyle and preferences may shift again.

We can play unrated live chess sometime if you want some tailored advice based on what I observe in our game(s).

I will add, the more you focus on a result (your rating goal) the further you’ll get from the goal, which is probably what you experienced. The way I coach my students when they approach a milestone is to hyper focus on the process, especially studying and game review. Then the rating comes naturally
