Had to check thread to make sure I wasn't ruining chess for everyone.

I don't personally see this thread as "whining" per se, but rather it's interesting social commentary. Surely the title doesn't mean "ruin" in the literal sense but more in the sense of distraction, or something similar to that, not the abolishment of chess.

      These people are the guilty parties.      I once knew a guy who knew a guy who's brother's cousin's friend's mother-in-law, was 3rd cousin's of my friend's neighbor to HIS cousin's brother's mother-in-law, and lived next to the guy who drove a trash truck on the same route of my sister's niece's neighbor's father-in-law!  So we're all just separated by a few pieces of trash.

you can't win at blitz and you play standard knowing that you can win?

True, I'm only 1100 rated at blitz that time, but it was only a 30 minute game (no increment) and the game lasted more than 35 moves and I really wasn't cheating. I'm always afraid of using an engine to help me because I'm afraid I'll get caught. 

You know what? Just ignore them. They are wasting their own time, not yours.

When someone beats you and you say gg and they ignore you...you know they cheated
