To me it only makes sense to compare players on how much they dominated their opponents in their time. In this case, Fischer, Morphy, Kasparov are probably the best players of all time

That makes sense...but wouldn't Carlsen appear in that list, too? He's won everything! Also, and this may be splitting hairs, isn't the question in the present tense? You would have to add a qualifying "of all time" to the question to make it include all players in the history of the game.
