They had played each other for many years before the first title match, so is not as if Anand hasn't been familiar with Carlsen's style for a very long time.

Well if you look at the match scores Caruana doesn't do much better than Aronian. But I agree that neither of them stand a chance against Carlsen. Carlsen is far and away the best player today.

I hope it's soon... Carlsen's games are grind out BORING... brilliancies out of Norway are not coming any day too soon! Anand is getting a little long in the tooth as GM's go. Where are guys like Fischer and Kasparov when chess really needs some excitement? Excitement could be a Tal order!

Well, it's unlikely Carlsen will lose if he's on form, but even Magnus can have an off period (cold, death in the family, jilted by his girl, etc.) and remember the match is only 12 games...so it's possible that any of the top 5 guys could win the title. Statistically he would have a lock for years if the WC Match were 24 games, but hard to keep interest up these days for a 24 game match, and these guys would want at least 2 or 3 million to play that long.
