Why is it that men who live with at home past age 30 end up in the basement?

Well, if you see any South African ducks there, shoo them this way, they're late.
I mean it's almost like when ducks fly south for the winter. It's in their nature to stay at home and migrate to the basement where their still close to their parents but not too close. seriously, whats wrong with the other rooms in the house? If this appplys to anyone reading this on this site, please explain =/
