I want to know the same thing. I could have done that (blocked squares like blue in your example) in a game today but I didn't because I was scared that the player who played the check would get points for the checkmate.

I've played it a bit, but I want a clarification on how the points are calculated. I haven't seen this scenario to occur yet.
I know that checkmate is 20 points. But which player gets points in this scenario?
This is based for the order here, which is Red-Blue-Yellow-Green
Red gives a check to Yellow. Following that move, Yellow would have one king move available to move out of the check. However, Blue makes a move to block that square while not giving a check. Therefore, Yellow is in checkmate. So which player gets 20 points, red or blue?
