It's a feature they are allowing some trusted premium members to try. It's sort of random who can get to it. Hopefully, it will release to everyone in 2022

As you can see, the board is now 10 by 8 instead of 8 by 8. This is a variant for Chess.com 2.0 which will come out in 2022. That's all I can reveal.
