@vickalan How will you draw the board if one player decides to move a rook/bishop very far away from the center?

If a pieces move really far then I just don't show them but instead I'll add a note to the diagram indicating the piece and the square they're on. One example is (this game). PixelByPixel moved a piece about 200 squares away, so I just showed it schematically. And I lost that game.
