The slow pieces need each other's support. It's better to march them all together at a slow pace, rather than one by one at a quicker pace.

I wanted to move them somewhat quick before getting together in line E and then move slowly from there (also the king). It was not cautious enough as I see.

And there was the mistake with the fork of your FK resulting from this, when I tried to get control of the line with the DK to early

If I see a quick, simple way to do something, and I see a slow, difficult way to do the same thing, I do the slow and difficult way. Unless, of course, my opponent has clearly made a mistake, in which case I punish that as efficiently as possible. Defense first; caution is key to good chu shogi.
