Chu Shogi evert823 - KaijiAUT

Well correct notation for igui would be
Ln x 4gi I guess? But I was not sure if it would be confusing. Which way do you prefer?

Oh thank you dax00! You are correct.
I also prefer japanese notation but it is hard to type it on computer or mobile phone (especially the piece symbols which are not standard word kanji).

I use GBoard on mobile with like 10 different languages to get all the characters I ever want. Handwriting input for Chinese and Japanese characters I don't know the reading of. If I do know the reading, I just type the phonetics - way easier and faster.

It takes me about 2-3 seconds to comprehend western notation and less than half a second for Japanese notation. When going over game records, it just makes sense for me not to struggle through it.

How I make boards is quite tedious. After some windows update, Winboard started behaving differently and it is now even more tedious than when I played dax00.

@evert823
If you want we can reduce the number of pictures and make a photograph every now and then instead. But than I will have to set up a board at home and will be moving slower. Your choice
Winboard doesn't work at my computer for some reason...

Since all the chu shogi pieces can be abbreviated to one character, I just use Excel spreadsheet 😬
dax00, is it possible to share a diagram, showing all characters but also the promoted? Perhaps I can study it and then doing it your way would become an option.

I need to find some time to find my preferred way of playing online. Using the physical board means it has to stay untouched in the living room for a few weeks and that disturbs my family a bit (I think). Although that's how I played my game against dax00.
