A New Horizon on the Board Has Dawned!

For centuries, chess has been a crucible of intellect, a strategic battle where individual vision and tactical cunning crown a single victor. Today, we, under the creation of Marco Bulgarini Torres, present a radical evolution, a transformation that seeks synergy, collaboration, and the intrinsic beauty of the game: Co-Author Chess.

We come to change the narrative of pure confrontation into jointly constructed harmony. We come to explore the peaks of strategic thinking through the lens of competitive cooperation. We come to demonstrate that greatness on the board can flourish not only in opposition but also in the coordinated dance of two minds.

Our Fundamental Rules: The Art of Shared Creation

In Co-Author Chess, two players face each other, but with a transcendent goal: to build a game of beauty and balance, where each move maximizes the potential of the position regardless of the color played in the following turn.

Alternating Turns in Binary Zigzag: Players alternate turns, as in traditional chess. Player A begins with white, Player B responds with black. In the next turn, Player B takes command of white and Player A responds with black, and so on.
Harmony Goal: The primary objective is not traditional checkmate, but to reach a harmony score of 40 points. This score is objectively evaluated by a competitive chess engine, analyzing the quality and balance of the position with a predefined depth.
Initial Score and Progression: Each player begins with an individual score of 10 points. Moves that improve the engine's evaluation of the position contribute to increasing the overall harmony score and, therefore, bring both players closer to the 40-point goal.
Disharmony Threshold and Descent Penalty:Loss by Extreme Disharmony: If a player's individual score drops to -1, they lose the game.
Rapid Descent Penalty: If a player's accumulated score decreases by 30% or more over the course of their last 3 own moves, a penalty is applied (to be defined: a percentage of the current score or a constant number of points). This discourages deliberately bad moves aimed at a future advantage at the expense of present harmony.
Victory by Harmony: The first player whose individual score reaches 40 points wins the game by harmony.
Our Goal: Chess Elevated to the Category of Art, envisioned by Marco Bulgarini Torres

We seek to transcend mere competition and explore the intrinsic beauty of chess through collaboration. Our goal is:

To foster strategic collaboration: Each player must consider the impact of their move not only for the color they play in that turn but also for the position their opponent will inherit in the next.
To promote positional excellence: The pursuit of harmony compels players to prioritize the creation of solid, balanced positions with potential for both sides.
To elevate the game to an art form: We aspire for Co-Author Chess games to be examples of strategic elegance, where the beauty of the final position is as valuable as victory.
Pending Development Issues: The Future of Co-Author, a creation of Marco Bulgarini Torres

Co-Author Chess is a nascent discipline, and its full flourishing requires the development of specific tools:

The Advanced Digital Judge: We need a robust digital judge that goes beyond simple positional evaluation. This system must be capable of:Sequence Control: Tracking and analyzing the trends in each player's individual score over their last 3 moves to apply the descent penalty.
Position Score Assignment: Evaluating the position with a competitive chess engine and assigning the harmony score that will influence each player's individual score. The precise mechanics of this assignment (whether it's the direct evaluation, an average, etc.) require careful development.
ExperCiencIA: Co-Author Chess as a Collaborative Human Approach, conceived within this framework by Marco Bulgarini Torres

Co-Author Chess naturally fits into the emerging discipline we call ExperCiencIA: the exploration of collaborative human approaches through experimentation and science. We believe that collective intelligence and the pursuit of harmonious solutions are fundamental to progress and understanding.

As envisioned by Marco Bulgarini Torres within the ExperCiencIA framework, just as in other fields where collaboration yields superior results, Co-Author Chess seeks to demonstrate that the union of strategic minds can lead to a richer, deeper, and aesthetically valuable form of the game. It is not about denying competition, but about channeling it towards a common goal: the joint creation of a strategic masterpiece on the board.

The future of chess has arrived, brought to you by Marco Bulgarini Torres. Join us in this exciting exploration of Co-Author Chess. Let us build harmony on the board together!
