THE OFFICIAL LOCKING CHESS RULES
GENERAL RULES OF LOCKING CHESS PROBLEMS (LOCKING CHESS PUZZLES)
1. The deadline for solving the problem with a normal checkmate, Lockmate or Refugee Mate in the pre-defined number of moves specified by the author is 48 hours after posting the problem here.
2. The solution to the problem must be noted in the algebraic notation system and recorded on video showing the sequence of moves with the pieces on a board and must be posted here in the comments of the post of the referred problem.
3. If no player manages to resolve this puzzle within 48 hours, the author may replace or transfer it to another date.
4. The author and his team of chess players will verify the correctness of the LOCKING CHESS problem solutions in the order they were posted in the comments. The winner will be announced 2 days after the deadline for submitting the solution to the problem.
5. A submitted solution will be rejected in the following cases: (i) when the 48-hour period established by the author has been exceeded, (ii) when the author has proven the improvement of the variation through a test or shortened the solution presented by a move, or (iii) if the submitted solutions are in error in algebraic notation, even if the sequence of moves shown in the video together with the notation is correct.
6. The video must be recorded from White's or Black's point of view, as indicated in the problem, and without narration: just show the main sequence of moves on the chessboard, which must be fully framed on the screen and with a clear image.
7. The algebraic notation in LOCKING CHESS is simple: moves in which there is superimposition between pieces must have an asterisk sign at the end.

9. If no player presents a solution identical to the one indicated by the author, the player who is the first to present another solution with the same or lesser number of moves required will win.
10. You can send privately to the author the composition of a LOCKING CHESS problem of your own authorship to be posted as “LOCKING CHESS PUZZLE”.
