Move 7 green, cannot eat a Q that is defended by a piece that is attacked by partners piece...

This is just one of the many examples that doesn't make sense in 4pc. I know it's consistent and has been this way, and people have an abnormally hard time dealing with change here, but we should at least entertain the idea that there is a MAIN game type that is not a variant, wherein logical chess is played.

LOL I disagree, this is perfectly logical (in chess you can not make a move that would put your king in check) in other words, this means that you can move your king into check or a piece that puts your king in check (hence pins). For that reason you cannot move your king into check by taking the queen. (Chess is not capture the king, Chess is getting Checkmate(meaning in check, and cannot make a legal move to get out of check).

Yes, but look at the colors of the pieces. They do not coordinate like in regular chess. If there was a regularity between the two games as you describe, it would also mean if my partner Q is attacking my K I should also have to move it...

your teammates Q can never "attack" any of your pieces? So you can never get in check by your teammate.

EDIT: that is like saying that your king is in check by your own queen.

WetHands

Yeah, so why can't teammates block checks and stop your K from getting eaten?

GTSWPM150

they can

and getting eaten is not the same as getting checkmated

Using this image for simplicity... lets say its reds turn to move. even though he can mate green or defend his partner, this is a completely lost position..

Guys, why am I the only player in the world that struggles with fake mates? My partners rook can stop them from mating
