Seen all these variants I am missing one.
I would love to see a relay chess variant either:
knight relay chess: knights cant be captured,capture give a check or mate and anything protected by the knight can move normally or as a knight.
The other variation could be that anything protected by a piece can move normally or as the piece that is protecting it.
fe. move1.f3 then after that the next move could be that the king can move to h4
