[White's Turn 7] Chess, but the board gets cut.

But each player can move once the other has posted a move, correct?

GraysonKellogg

Yeah, I'm just saying that I didn't have time to post the board here. You can totally premove if you like. (Either tell me privately to premove or set conditionals, or send them here.)

Welcome back @CunioXYZ! Black plays Nf6. @evert823, it's now your turn, and your clock has started. What do you want to do?

@evert823 has moved their Knight to c3! It is now @CunioXYZ's turn, and their clock has started.

Both @CunioXYZ and myself are keeping an eye on this thread. I appreciate that you initiate and host this, and create the board.

Having said that there's no absolute necessity for us players waiting for your comment, such as the one I quoted here, each time, in order to continue playing.

Yeah, I agree! If it helps the game happen faster and you two can play without a board, there’s really no reason you have to wait for me to send the board. I had something to do today, so that’s why I couldn’t update it.
GraysonKellogg

Here's the updated board for @evert823. Black has played d6.

I wonder if this will just end up being a normal game? I'll probably start up a more fun / exciting variant after this one.

Here's an endgame that Stockfish thinks is balanced.

This is about to be converted to a non-regular boardsize.

Apologies for moving slow

GraysonKellogg

It's okay. While moving quickly is highly encouraged, it isn't required by the rules.

GraysonKellogg

White plays h3. @CunioXYZ, it is now your turn, and your clock has started. What will you do?

@CunioXYZ castles! It is now @evert823's turn, and their clock has started.

By the way, you don't have to worry about running out of time because of me. Your clock stops and resets when you post your move, and your opponent's clock starts when I post the updated board for them. So, the time in which you have moved, but I have not posted the board, will not count against either clock.
