A Pawn automatically promotes to a Queen as soon as it reaches the other side of the board.

A Pawn can either step forward and promote or capture forwards and promote as part of the same move.

A Pawn can promote before a player is fully deployed but in this case capturing an opposing Pawn during the promotion is not allowed as the opposing Pawn on the promotion rank is still protected.

Under promotions are not allowed.
