I just can't get the hang of the give away variant - I keep getting dusted. Which is odd because in standard game modes I can't stop giving pieces away (bants)

I like 4-player chess the most. After that it would probably be Giveaway (I'm very good at hanging pieces, no wonder I like it) or Bughouse

Set-up chess or chaturaji. I used to be really big on atomic chess and duck chess though.

960 and Standard are my favorites. I like their vanilla-like nature and how they don't do anything to absurd. Crazyhouse and Bughouse can be fun but also kind of frustrating for me. 3 Check, Racing Kings, King of the Hill, Atomic Chess 4-player Chess, and really just any other variants are to strange to me an kill the point of the game.

Antichess/Giveaway. Atomic is pretty fun until someone comes up with those trojan knights. 960 is pretty cool, and I like Fog of War too.

I like 960 for two reasons:

It's the variant which is most similar to standard chess.
It forces me to think more deeply about piece development in the opening phase of the game.

I like XXL chess. I guess I just like Fairy Chess.
