4 Player Chess !Chat! TOO MANY ALLIANCES

In my eyes in four player chat is bad because of alliances but then again maybe that's the way it should be played. Anyway when i play 3 player chess offline. In real life with some friends we have a rule that nothing should be said about the game because of course people can be influenced. Look at my last 4 player chess game (if that's possible?) One thing is for sure in my eyes the game evolves quicker that way and the player get better. Hoiwever I feel I could win more games with no chat due to psychology and other factors

I agree - removing chat would make alliances more ambiguous, but it'd also remove the element of camaraderie that comes with having four players at the board and making alliances with each other.

I dunno, after getting jumped for the umptenth time... I'm sick of 4 player chess.

How do i start a 4player game?  When i click the 4player-button, i get to accept the rules.  Then i get the starting position but nothing to start the game

@Eukaryote: If this is still a problem you're running into - there should be a play button in the bottom right corner of the board. Clicking this sends out a seek for a four player game (nb. there have been toggles for team play too, prior to today), and you should get matched eventually. Alternatively you can watch any of the active games by clicking on them on the right hand side.

Hope that helps (although, this is probably all subject to change, due to it being tested/worked on).

(To the OP, there is a function to disable all chat communications; especially useful if you run into excessively bad language)
