ok, that would not be a checkmate since the king can capture the queen.

I don't know about you, but I have not moved any piece or pawn more than once this game.

ok, I guess I have moved the guard twice now.
I don't think I moved any of my pieces twice...Oh wait, I did. I captured with my knight and bishop... so that's two times, I guess.
I got two questions:
Q.1) Can an opponent pawn, made transparent by my witch, capture any of my pieces?
Q.2) How would you rank the witch and the guard against the other pieces in terms of worth?
I will play 15.Qf2. The open f-file looks troublesome for me..
A transparent piece can move as normal, so yes. A pawn made transparent by your witch can still capture pieces.
The value of the witch and guard is a bit debatable and uncertain. I'm sure others will disagree with my estimate and my opinion might change after I get more experience with them (especially the witch). One thing for sure is that the witch is worth more in the opening and less in the endgame, while the guard is worth less in the opening and more in the endgame. They are opposite of each other in that sense.
My estimates is about 3 for the guard and about 2 for the witch. I've seen others make estimates for the witch to be much higher (6) and the guard to be a bit higher (4). So some will think I am really wrong about the witch, but I think being unable to capture pieces reduces its strength a lot.
