Bullet Is Chess

Chess 960 is not chess! It's like playing poker but all of the players personal cards are face up and the cards in the middle are face down. Is that "a form of poker", too? Bullet is a form of chess, because it is chess. It just has a time limit, like most chess games. The only difference is that it simply has a short time limit. There is only 4 reasons why they call it "bullet" instead of "a chess game with a very short time limit".

1. It is much easier to say "bullet" than "a chess game with a very short time limit".

2. The game moves as fast as a bullet.

3. The game moves a fast as somebody who has taken a bullet to the heart dies.

4. It is very hard to become highly rated so when someone with very high rating open seeks they get to play with someone with a lot lower rating. Then, if that person makes a blunder, and loses a LOT of points, that makes the person feel like (s)he's just taken a bullet to the heart. If (s)he bets on the game, then she also takes a bullet to the wallet.

Here's the same scenario but with chess:

So I'm just sitting in my corner of the tournament room where everybody sits just to lose against me and then somebody comes up to me and before we even starts the game he goes "Ha! I won! Wooooooooooooo!" Then I go "you must be kisee-coocoo" Then he goes "no that's not true. You tried to play the game with the totally wrong set up." Then I go "um, this is how you set it up, Dumbo." Then he would go "No, were playing chess 960 or we not? Well that's not how set it up." Then I would say, "No, were not playing 'chess 960', were playing chess." Then he would go "It is chess, it's just a different form of chess." Then I would get that guy, out of my sight as fast as I can.

And scrabble. Even though they are totally different, they don't have the same board, pieces, system, and ways to win, they should still be "chess in different forms", because they both have the same goal, to win. Am I wrong?

Yes, it is chess and it thrives mostly on board vision, pattern recognition, and tactical knowledge. There's nothing wrong or anti-chess about it.

Those who rely on strategy, etc. rightly say that "better" chess requires more time so that all aspects of the game can be employed, but that often requires 1 hour or more per clock and up to 2 hours is more time than most people have.

So there's nothing wrong with bullet chess, though you should be doing other things like taking time to solve tactics problems, etc. if you want to improve.

This is the stupidest fake story someone has ever made up. You would obviously know that it would be chess 960. Therefore your story is invalid in less you were dumb not to notice it was not normal chess.

No I wouldn't "know that it would be chess 960" because first of all I'm playing normal chess in a normal chess tournament room and second I set it up like normal chess hence the stupid guy who thinks that chess 960 is the same thing as chess tries to call me out for cheating. Why, you ask, because you still don't know what I'm talking about? Because he attempts to play me in a chess 960 match even though we both agreed on normal chess but since the stupid guy thinks chess 960 is the same thing as chess he thinks that we are automatically playing a 960 game like he wants to but I set it up for normal chess and so he thinks I'm cheating because of that. Do I not make myself look clear?

I agree, one family and time controls do not change whichever version of chess is being played.

Time controls however do affect ratings differently which is something that should be considered.
