I love it. Its like I'm playing from a new opening and the beginning of the game is always different. With regular chess it takes many moves for it to get interesting. but with Chess 960 it is fun from move 1.

I've been into chess variants ( http://www.chessvariants.com ) for quite a while.

If you're new to chess variants I'd recommend trying Shatranj and Grand Chess.

After awhile you'll probably a few more that appeal to you

I like it the same way I like chess puzzles, as good training for getting better, having fun, and taking a break from playing, but it just isn't chess to me. I do enjoy it though, probably for the same reason that Chessguy2 said, it's always different and interesting from the first move.

I try to play a few 960s every once in a while because it helps me understand the opening of regular chess a little better.

Chess960 was created to eliminate the need to learn and memorize opening theory and lines.

Opening principles are still very important: develop your pieces, control the center, protect your king, etc.
