You had 25. B(1,4), I'd have been forced to reply B(4,7). If I try to save my hawk, I can be checkmated in three or four, depending where the hawk goes.
We get to the same position, so it's not like this way round is a mistake, but it would've been a nice trap to lay.
I don't really consider that I just sacrificed the hawk. Your bishop was strong, and I already have an extra hawk. Considering your other bishop is active too, I think it's close to an even trade, close enough considering you already gave up a knight for this attack.
