Hmmm... I didn’t think you would sacrifice the hawk...

I dub this game the unsound hawk sacrifice!

For vick's sake (to clarify the forced move and correct tomato's typo above), with my next move in bold...

25. Hx(4,6)+ K(6,9)

26. B(1,4)+ B(4,7)

You had 25. B(1,4), I'd have been forced to reply B(4,7). If I try to save my hawk, I can be checkmated in three or four, depending where the hawk goes.

We get to the same position, so it's not like this way round is a mistake, but it would've been a nice trap to lay.

I don't really consider that I just sacrificed the hawk. Your bishop was strong, and I already have an extra hawk. Considering your other bishop is active too, I think it's close to an even trade, close enough considering you already gave up a knight for this attack.

 Also, there's another reason I gave up  the hawk. Tempo.

Bx(4,7)+ I think you lose another piece...

I just noticed this typo, but it's clear you meant Hx(4,6) since it's legal, logical and it's the move I referred to when I invited you to make two moves in a row if you recapture.

None of your pieces can even MOVE to (12,12)

My pawn can advance two, it hasn't moved.
