@hitthepin, I don't detect anything dumb, but every chess player including me makes bad moves sometimes, especially when trying a variant for the first time. Of course if either of us gets really behind, one of us can resign (and then play again).

Interesting place for your bishop - deep in enemy territory, but can't be attacked. It makes a cool design too.
