EQUAL RIGHTS!!

Maybe if all of us 960 players email the powers that be @ Chess.com requesting the same rights as the traditional chess options they would make it happen. It has bothered me for quite some time that u cannot start a 960 game with random people, or play on a clock that is faster than the 1 day timer. It just doesn't seem fair. It is a depressing bummer. Equal rights I say!

ScottEddinsEnstrom

Lucky nothing. I can play elsewhere easily.

ScottEddinsEnstrom

Do u even play 960????

ScottEddinsEnstrom

Wow. It's relevant because that's what I'm talking about, that's where I posted this, this is for 960 players.

ScottEddinsEnstrom

If you don't play 960 you should not even be commenting on this thread.

That doesn't sound like equal rights to me.

ScottEddinsEnstrom

No. I want to be able to start a game of 960 with anyone randomly, be able to choose the same timers as in traditional chess. That's it. I really don't think that's asking for much. & people who don't play the game I'm talking about should mind their own business & leave this to the people that do play.

PearlFey

What if the people in charge don't play 960? You'll probably change your tune reaaaaally fast.

TheGrobe

I think the point was that you're after equal privileges, not equal rights.

ScottEddinsEnstrom

Change my tune??? LOL. wow.

ScottEddinsEnstrom

It's just a topic. Sorry if I figured intelligent chess people could read between the lines & see that.

PearlFey

Yeah, you're hardly lacking any rights. You aren't a feminist, are you, OP?

ScottEddinsEnstrom

Lol. Haters.

kaynight,  i dont get what point you are trying to make here. Have you not noticed the advertisement that pops up all over the site? Im not sure whether its a profit making site or not but in any case I think the site owners are quite happy to have lots of non paying members which will add to their advertisment revenue to support its upkeep. I think Facebook are quite happy to have ' freeloaders' using their site for free! Stop taking the moral high ground and having a dig at people for the sake of it!

ScottEddinsEnstrom

Since this was posted in the 960 section, it should be left to 960 players for discussion. There is nothing wrong with trying to help make the game better. In writing & speech I've always been taught that u have to grab people attention. So that's what I do.

ScottEddinsEnstrom

Thank you Matthew. Well said.

All thought this was all about equal right?

You guys get your joy from complaining and Kaynight gets his joy from annoying people

Equality, everyone wants it for themselves but not for others

ScottEddinsEnstrom

That's crazy. I'm not trying to take anything away from chess. I think that's pretty clear. If I didn't make that clear enough then I'll make it clear right now. I don't want to take anything away from chess. But I would like the same options standard chess has. How is that a bad thing? I don't get it.
