Most would call me crazy, but:

If you want to start an event you should do so before making a move. You need to know the new rules before you even know your move is still legal. Do you want to start an event with your knight still standing on g1? You can make your move after we know the new rules.
Event #111
Queens can only move a maximum of 1 square (like the king).
Rooks, Knights and Bishops standing next to an allied queen can move like an original queen in addition to their normal movement.
Example:
The green squares indicate the squares the queen can move to. The queen can only move like a king
Another example
The green squares indicate all squares the knight can move to. Since it is standing next to an allied queen it can move as both a knight and a queen.
Another example:
Since the knight is not standing next to an allied queen it just moves like a normal knight.
This is a relatively new event that does not have any name yet. Suggestions are welcome.
Do you understand the rule changes?
Rooks, Knights and Bishops standing next to an allied queen can move like an original queen in addition to their normal movement.
The king is not among the mentioned pieces, so no it can not move like a queen. Kings, pawns and other queens is not affected by this rule.
I like the way you guys think with the suggestions. Another name I have considered is Cheerleader.

This is an event chess game between @PixelByPixel and @Martin0.
Game rules:
Game starts like a normal chess game with 2 additional rules:
1. Each player may once/game start an event during his turn before making a move (Just say "start event").
2. A player may not capture more than 2 pieces that are not pawns before starting an event (This is to make sure both players need to start an event).
Note that each player starting one event means a game will become a combination of 2 events.
Other rules of this game are identical with rules of classical chess.
When an event starts it will be chosen randomly from over 100 events and consists of some sort of rule changes to the game. More about event chess can be read here.
PixelByPixel will play white. Good luck!
