...Lol I don’t see the point of that move other than to show off the rule
In this game rooks move slowly, but pawns and knights cannot capture them.😕
To me it seems Martin0 is showing-off the rule AND making good moves.😥
My move:
14.g4
If this was a normal chess game I would probably already have resigned. But I'm still playing for these reasons:
1) learn more about these types or rooks (they're pretty cool. Weak in moves, but strong due to immunity).
2) It will be interesting to see how a hidden king gets found and checkmated (assuming it happens).
3) This board still has one queen and four rooks which is plenty of mating power. But these aren't normal rooks - other pieces may need to be put into play during the endgame (let's see).
So:
20.a3
You can resign whenever you want, I don't mind either way.
These rooks are really interesting. I think my rook in the center is above average for what you can expect, but I'm still a bit surprised how good they are. I guess when they are on a good position they can be worth quite a bit, but not quite good when inactive. This is true for pretty much all pieces, but being this slow you need to spend a lot of moves to get it from an inactive square to an active one. They are slower than kings or knights which is often seen as slow pieces. I feel a bit clueless on how much value the rooks should be in terms of points (maybe around 3-5, idk). Their value should also matter on things like which pieces are remaining and if the position is opened or closed and if they have outposts and whatnot.
I don't plan for a checkmate attack anytime soon. I'm still trying to develop my pieces 20 moves into the game, so the game might go on for a while if you want to.
