The hyper-existor. This piece moves as a Knight. To be used in bughouse, this piece occupies the same square on both boards and can be used by either teammate.
Create a chess piece and name it (competition)
The checker! each player has four of them. on thrid (and 6th) rank on the dark squares. They move like checkers in checkers.
The socialist. It never moves and redistributes the point values of the other pieces so they are all even.

Sha-La-Kazam (aka Magician)
The magician moves like a knight mixed with a pawn.
If you capture with the magician, whichever piece you capture can't be revived by a Judge.
Also, the Magician can capture like a knight, but you'll have two of them.
You can exchange your Magician for a queen, or a Judge, or if you keep them, you can capture the pieces on the squares that you jump through.

This is an outrage. It is a gross exhibition of blasphemy. It is I who is the rightful winner. I give you ninety-six hours to fix this terrible blunder. For anyone who has doubts as to my competence, check the first page for my wondrous idea.
Qwerty: can make 2 moves in a row. It can move anywhere you want it to, but cannot capture other pieces.
Defender: Can move like a rook as many times as possible while behind the 4th rank, moves 1 square each turn otherwise. Cannot move across the 4th rank as a rook.
14 points?!
the sucker it moves like a king it can only be captured by the king it can capture any piece that is one square away from it it can also transform into a piece this is called replacing. ex sucker is at e4 rook is at h1 it can move to h1 and leave the rook at e4 then your turn is over replacing can be used only once. its original positian is at white-a1/h1 black a8/h8 your choice, its worth 8 points. replacing cant be used if its a check, checkmate, stalemate, capturing is the rook is pyt on e4 an the king is on e5 its illegal
the freezer it freezes a piece for 3 moves(not a king) no piece can capture it. after it moves three times it is removed from the board it can replace a queen. at the start of the game. a pawn can promote to it at the 7th or 8th rank
Here are a few faves I encountered over the years. What do you think?
(Pawn) Squire= move forward or sideways 1 square. can only capture forward 1 square.
(Bishop) Summoner= Moves diagonally 1 square. Friendly pieces may instantly move to an unoccupied square adjacent to the Summoner. (counts as a move. Cannot summon the King.)
(Knight) Teutonic Knight= Moves as a Standard Knight, captures as a standard King. Pieces more than two squares away cannot capture the Teutonic Knight.
(Rook) Dragoon= Captures 2 squares forward and backwards. Moves as a Standard Bishop. When a Dragoon captures an enemy piece it immediately returns to the square it attacked from.
(Queen) Iron Queen= Moves/Captures as a standard Queen. Can only capture the enemy King or be captured by the enemy King.
(King) Kaiser= Moves/Captures one square orthogonally and backwards as a Knight. Kaiser has the option to WILD ATTACK capturing all adjacent friendly and enemy pieces.
Mine:Cannot move. The mines are on the 4th and 5th ranks. If a piece steps on a mine, it takes the role of the mine, and still cannot move.Pieces can move through mines.
This was already a thread. Anyway, I made one up on the spot.
The Tower. It moves and captures like a king and can deliver check and checkmate. (Just like a Guard.) At the beginning of the game, the Tower can choose to carry either a Bishop or Knight. Any piece that it captures later is added to the top of the tower. It can let out any piece on any adjacent unoccupied square. But if the Tower has, let's say, a Bishop, Rook and Pawn, (9 points) you can exchange these for a queen, also worth nine points. If a tower has two rooks, likewise, you can exchange for a queen and pawn. Exchanging takes up your turn.
Piece - The Jester
Ability - Starts on the 3rd rank in front of the King. Its moves alternatively like a Bishop, Knight & Rook.
So first move you move it diagonally where ever you want, but once its has moved the next time you want to move it, it could only move like a knight, and third time you want to move it could only move like a Rook, followed by moving like a bishop again the the 4th turn and so on.
