Umm... I also think it has to do something with the barriers. Because most of the pieces are around the barrier lines when they get screwy.

And they even make illegal moves, going past the barriers!

    Those are possessed pieces, not a witch, spirit. You are just deleting the piece the spirit was possessing xP.

It works for the other pieces...

Heres a link to hopefully fix pieces moving by themselves, and for barrier fields being EXTRA thick! Also you can hit . period to add lots of void squares.

That rainbow aura will automatically be rendered if a spirit is occupying the same square as another piece (so the spirit won't be rendered but the palette will be).

When you double click it you will make the spirit actually capture, deleting the piece it was possessing (that's why you see a spirit appear).

To make a spirit possess something, push M to toggle piece deletion, then when you place the spirit on another piece it will not delete it, but instead possess it, this is how you can make multiple pieces occupy the same square.

Are pieces still moving by themselves? And do barrier fields look thinner now?

I was offline for dinner (6:40 here) so I haven't updated my software yet.

I don't think thick barrier fields are a problem... but ok!

Yeah but I want them to be the same thickness as mine, I can easily increase the thickness anytime.

Ok, I'll post a walkthrough to help you out:

Make sure it's been at least 22 hours since the last update.

1. Read after the last game board update to find and write down everyone's move.

2. Open game file, optional to copy + paste it in a new slot so you don't lose the previous game file. Push letter P to delete all previous orange and black boxes.

3. Make everyone's move inside the game (making sure they are legal) and highlight them with new orange boxes.

4. Push period . only once to add some void squares and save. Do not cheat and redo the random void spawning to try to get a preferable spawning, take the 1st spawning literally. See if any pieces need to be frozen or not.

5. Pan to every piece & take a screenshot, currently there should be 13 total pictures. Using brackets [ and ] will help you find those extremely far out pieces.

6. Write the game board update on the sandbox forum! You can look at the previous game board update to copy how it's written. You'll need to update everyone's energy count, and copy over all the active events. You will also need to post the current leaderboard, to get that: run the game file using a command prompt and hit comma , to print out the leaderboard. Also include a link to the new game file!
