Kasparov plays Chess960

For anyone who doesn't already know, a very interesting Chess960 tournament featuring Kasparov, Topalov, Nakamura and seven others has just started in St Louis, USA, with rapid (30mins + 10 secs delay) plus blitz games. Continues until 14th September, starting at 1pm local time. One Chess960 position is selected for all games on each day. See https://www.uschesschamps.com/2018-champions-showdown/2018-champions-showdown-chess-960.

The first day's games are on YouTube here: https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=KiKT3slu0CQ, and Kasparov is interviewed near the end about his four games with Topalov.

I wonder if there will be annotations available in books or magazines or on sites.

Have a look at Mark Weeks's Chess960 blog (22 Sept 2018 entry) - he gives links to reports and annotations on the Chess24 site. See http://chess960frc.blogspot.com

Wars is totally right.  If I had mod rights I would without thought delete all bulldog topics and only keep the games which I won or am winning. But then again I have no mod rights...🙄

The OP created this normal forum topic 21 days ago.

A topic on the Chess960 forum about Kasparov playing Fischer Random.

You would perhaps think that such a topic would attract at least a few comments.

When I first saw the topic I thought: You know what, I bet that this normal forum topic is going to be completely ignored just like all other normal forum topics, and it was, it dropped straight through the forum without a single comment being posted.

That says a lot to me about the state of this "forum".

Every single normal topic that does not use or discuss extra variant pieces is simply ignored.

The same small group of people bump the same small group of topics and force the normal topics out of the forum.

If this forum was actually popular then this topic would have attracted at least a few comments, but it did not. Why? Because the vast majority of chess players are not interested in your silly games.

So please continue bumping your silly topics into the advertising window, sorry I mean the most recent window.

Maybe they were scared away by the crazy person posting 11 times in a row talking to himself.

You are the online equivalent of the homeless person muttering to themselves and gesticulating wildly...nobody wants to come near you or provoke your brand of crazy.

I think it would be great if actual chess-related topics were the most posted in...but not by one guy wink.png...
