that means its time to make another variant by itself

What are your thoughts?

Use the old pieces and the way move, but change the goal of the game like KOTH of 3CHECK, Perhaps BulldogChess960? or Crayhouse Bulldog chess

I need to finish some games and try that

the bomber, it is a dwarf that carries around a bomb that goes off when the bomber is taken, and the bomber, at any time, can set off the bomb, functioning as a regular nuke, however, it cannot be used again, as it destroyes the bomber. also, the bomb does not go off when the dwarf takes peices, it goes off when the bomber whishes it too

Next piece idea:

A piece which moves and captures like a Knight.

On top of this, he can move to or capture on a square which is a Knight's move away from his previous position - but only when he does so on the immediate next move. (As if he 'remembers' these positions only during one move.)

evert823

Suppose the piece is on d4 then it could move to f5. On the immediate next move it can move to e2 because that's a Knight's move from d4. If you move another piece in between then only normal Knight's moves allowed.

I find this piece quite agile, so I will call it the Monkey. Now I will give exactly the same explanation but more elaborate and with diagrams.

The Monkey moves and captures like a Knight.

On top of this, he can move to or capture on a square which is a Knight's move away from his previous position - but only when he does so on the immediate next move. (As if he 'remembers' these positions only during one move.)

The following sample diagrams give an example. Suppose we start from this position:

null

The Monkey normally can make a Knight's move. So it could jump to h4:

null

Now if White would play Qi6-i3, intending a double attack, then Black could capture with the Monkey. because i3 is a Knight's move away from the Monkey's previous position:

null

null

But if White would play Rj8+, followed by Ka7:

null

null

then after Qi3 the Monkey has only normal Knight's moves and cannot take on i3.

null

the monkey is confusing but useful

HorribleTomato

Bringing back the Myths!

Trojan Horse: A knight, but whenever captured turns into a normal knight, destroying the piece that captures it. It also loses it's shield if it captures a piece.

Minotaur: a tanky piece that moves like a queen but can go past a piece that it captures but can't capture twice.

Medusa: A bishop like piece that freezes the pieces that are in FRONT of it (not directly)

friedmelon

the rocket: can move 2 squares to any direction+knight movement

it has the special ability to shoot down a piece like a rook

friedmelon

the blade: moves like a guard, can knock back a piece in the direction the blade attacked

note that it can only knock back pieces near it and it uses a move to knock

but it can knock back many pieces at a time

if the knocked piece goes off the board it gets captured

friedmelon

the C.A.T.S. cat: explodes everything you have

lol

HorusTheThird

Snake: moves and takes as queen, but can be taken on any square it passes. So it can move from e4 to e8, but it can be taken on e5, e6, and e7 as well as on e8.

Shockwave: moves one step orthogonally (non-capturing); or destroys every piece a knight's move away (including friendly pieces).

Ritual Fusioner: king's move (non-capturing); when multiple friendly pieces are adjacent to the Ritual Fusioner, sacrifice 1 adjacent piece to give the sacrificed piece's move to one other adjacent piece (in addition to its regular move). Cooldown of 4 turns. Cannot give extra moves to your king. Cannot give a piece extra moves multiple times.

Ritual Combiner: jumps up to 3 squares left/right or up to 2 squares forward/back (non-capturing); when 3+ friendly pieces are adjacent to it, sacrifice 2 of them to link one of the sacrificed pieces' moves to the non-sacrificed piece (makes its regular move, then its acquired move). Your opponent selects which sacrificed piece lends its move.

Soul of the Dead: acquires the moves of the last piece you captured, and the last of your pieces captured. Cannot move until both players have captured a piece.

Very nice, should be worked out and tested.

okmeta

Invincible shield-It moves like a rook. Can't be eaten, but can not eat as well. You can convert it to a normal bishop or knight, but can't go back to this piece.
