OTB 960!!

@ wobbly. I thought 1775 was a pretty good rating. @ old guy. I can't start a new one using the 1 day timer. That's why I want to play over the board.

Sadly i cannot start any new games on chess.com at the moment because in a couple of days i might have to go away for a little while & i dont have any vacation time on here. But I'm missing 960 bad! So I just downloaded a 960 starting position generator & searching for a opponent. Anyone?
Always have the option to play unrated games.

That's true. ...I really like playing a full game in one sitting too though. & 960 on a real chess board is nothing short of a life changing experience lol. I was hooked before, but now? ...just don't think there's any going back to reg chess.

I don't know how to post screen shots of a generated position that my opponent randomly picks. & then could just play through messages on here I suppose. So if anyone could help me out w that I would appreciate it. I'm on iPhone too.

Might have to get an app. Always have the option to post the link to it. Then somebody else can do it.

@ karolingo, sorry. The way it works is someone makes a post looking for a game, someone else replies to that post, 90% of the time both those players are online at the same time - this creates the OTB feel. After someone accepts a challenge in my personal games I ask my opponent to pick any random number in the 960 range or allow me to post what ever position shows up first in my generator, I leave the decision up to my opponent. After that's settled I take a screenshot of that specific position generated & post for my opponent to see it is what number they chose, then we set our boards up accordingly (this whole process seriously only takes 2 seconds).
Now it's on! The game begins & 95% of them get played in full in a single sitting (a very treasured quality for any player that hungers for a real life tournament style game). The normal game lasts 3-4 hours my longest has lasted 6 hrs. If either player needs to break for what ever reason the position is left set up & adjourning is not a problem. The game is usually finished the next day in that case.
The whole process is very simple & not complicated at all. Within a couple games players are hooked for life! (I know I am!)
Facebook chess is a rapidly trending play style & I strongly urge any legit, willing to play, player to stop by & give it a test run. At this point I'm pretty experienced in this style of play & no lie I have found it to be the most fun way to play in cyber space of all time!
I apologize for a delayed response. I don't check out the C.c desktop site anymore. (All I have is iPhone)
