In reality if someone plays both starts 960 and old chess, you soon will have more fun at 960. It only takes 3 months for that. It is like do you read the same book every time or you like a new story that can make you think about it. Players of chess who never played 960 (Fisher Shuffle) are less creative but for a GMI maybe 960 is counter productive. The logical outcome is chess 960 to have its own ranking, its own segregated fide.
