Analysis boards are legal, and almost for sure people using their own personal diagrams will improve their play. Will be cool to see the quality of games get better and better, especially at the top level.😈
Btw - but chess engines are not legal. To the best of my knowledge, nobody has even considered making a chess engine for infinite chess.😐
The beauty of infinite chess is that it will be impossible to make a computer programme for it. Of course, it won't be impossible to do it for a 50x50 board, and that will probably suffice for most positions, but even that will take a monumental amount of processing. You'd be better off using your systems to mine bitcoin.
Over time, an openings database could improve the quality of openings, but it will take many, many years before there's a reliable sample size.
