I would definitely recommend a youtube channel that deals with the basics first. You can obviously watch (and maybe enjoy) Nakamura, Chessbrah etc but they will be too advanced if you have just started. It's like trying to learn English by reading Hemingway .

There are lots of votes for Gotham Chess. I'll have to check it out (I haven't played in a while).

Gotham chess is great but over time I've learnt to really enjoy Eric Rosen...his videos are densely information packed and his humour so dry.
