No. What you do have to do is, for example if you already had a club called “The example club”
Don’t change the name, just PM me and say something like “I’d like to enter The Example Club as Example Clan, or EXMP Clan for short (You have to have a short name, 2-4 characters)”

Create a club on Chess.com based off the requirements posted. If you are a member of one of these Clans, type “I am a member of ___ Clan” and you will be accepted.

I’m sure you all love clubs, but don’t you just wish there was a more organized way of them? Like, it’s just so messy. Well, @insanehas formed the Chess.com Clan Council in order to allow this to happen.

NO CHEATING! This will result in a ban, depending on the severity.
What is a Clan?
Members can create clans by creating a club named (Blank) Clan. You can name the clan anything, but it has to be between 2-4 letters. EXCEPTIONS ALLOWED! Dm @insane. For instance, if you want to be called the “Example Text”, but it won’t fit, make your clan name something like
ET Clan
EX Clan
eTXT Clan
Not every letter has to be capitalized! And no, nothing is case sensitive. If there is already a Lol clan, you are not allowed to make a LOL clan.

THIS is what makes Clans, Clans.
A clan war will take place through a Team Match. Winning clan will receive “points”. There will be a points leaderboard posted on my blog.
*FOR EACH WIN, YOU WILL RECEIVE 1 POINT. FOR EACH DRAW, YOU WILL RECEIVE HALF A POINT. SO GROW YOUR CLANS PEOPLE!!!!!*
How to start a clan war:
Clans will send out challenges on the forums, and the first clan to accept this challenge (by replying with the clan name) will be paired against the other team inside a clan war.
